Last year we simplified our farm operations by getting rid of the sheep
and the goats. These groups were the responsibility of our border
collie, Violet. He is a four-year-old registered BC whose parents
were both international champions and has no work to do now. This is
not fair to him and will eventually lead him into mischief. We love
him, but we must give him away. He is a good worker, well disciplined,
affectionate, and with no emotional or physical difficulties. He knows
how to work a herd and he does it with enthusiasm. He works well with
people and lives to work. With very little training, he could also do
well in field trials. We are looking for a farm in need of a work dog to
give him to. If you know anyone who could put him to work, please spread
the word. Thanks.
