Dear Wendell Meetinghouse Friends,

For those of you on the Townsfolk list, please forgive this duplicate

Please join old and new Friends for our monthly meeting:

Monday, September 19, 2011, Wendell Senior Center, 7:30 pm.

Following our fundraising success this summer, there are many issues to
discuss. The growing number of townsfolk who have become involved this
year assures our continued momentum.

Agenda:
1  Introduction of old and new friends, guest speaker.

2  Approval of the minutes from August 10 meeting.  Melinda Godfrey, clerk

3  Treasurer’s Report.  Nan Riebschlaeger.

4  FWM Website.  Web designer Christine Texiera will lead the discussion:
what are Friends’ goals for the site?

5  Community Preservation Act (CPA) – potential benefits for the
Meetinghouse project.  Marianne Sundell and Nan Reibschlaeger.  “The
Community Preservation Act (CPA) is a Massachusetts state law (M.G.L.
Chapter 44B) passed in 2000. It enables adopting communities to raise
funds to create a local dedicated fund for open space preservation,
preservation of historic resources, development of affordable housing, and
the acquisition and development of outdoor recreational facilities.”

6  Site visit by Greg Farmer, Agricola Corp., Chicopee, to outline
Historic Structure Report proposal.  (See

Friday, September 23, 2 pm at the Meetinghouse.  

7  Meetinghouse Windows.  Discussion of historical, esthetic, utilitarian
concerns.

  8  Fall Priorities: securing the building, seeking funding sources,
    outside consultations.

Election October 17.  Seeking candidates for President, Treasurer, Clerk. 
    Voting Friends will have attended three meetings since June 1,
    including the October meeting.
