Subject: Crazy Diamond Band Sat. Feb. 14

 The Crazy Diamond Band will be playing the music of Pink Floyd at the Wendell Town Hall on Valentines Day, Saturday February 14  in a benefit for the Friends of the Wendell Meetinghouse. The show will be from 8 to 11 pm with refreshments including sweet and savory treats. 

The band includes Wendell Residents Ray Grigonis on bass and Shelley Hines singing back up vocals, along with guitarists Nik Blanchard of Holyoke and Kevin Donovan of Enfield, CT, Mark Downie of Holyoke on the keyboard, and Greg Breault of Ludlow on drums.  In 2014 they won Rock 102's Battle of the Tribute Bands and their performance included the pumpkin Fest in Turners Falls and opening for Get Out the Led at Mountain Park. They were also a big hit playing outside in Wendell at the DejaBrew. 

The concert will be filmed and part of it will be broadcast on Montague TV on future dates, which Shelley  hopes will help to spread the word about both the band and the efforts the restore the Wendell Meetinghouse. The band will also be using the footage in a documentary on the evolution of the band.  

The suggested contribution for the show is $6 to $20. The funds that are raised will be used for restoring the Wendell Meetinghouse so  that it can be made available for historical exhibits, cultural and spiritual programs, and serving as a community meeting place for special events.
